AI for Communities

When AI hype is free and credible information sits behind paywalls, m/disinformation can spread like wildfire.

Powerful technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) present many opportunities as well as challenges for our communities. AI can help us solve complex problems, but it can also displace jobs and cause serious harm. Many AI learning resources and information sit behind paywalls and are filled with jargon that can be difficult to understand. To support our mission to make AI resources available to marginalized and impacted communities, Women in AI Ethics (WAIE) has launched “AI for Communities” in collaboration with Public Libraries.

This program will deliver free introductory classes to help our communities get a solid understanding of AI, prepare for new opportunities in the AI economy, and keep ourselves safe. These free sessions are delivered online and provide additional resources so everyone can continue their learning journey at their own pace.

Fill out this form to participate in this program and help us keep our communities informed about the benefits and harms of AI.
