Webinar: AI & human rights | Shahla Naimi

July 31 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm UTC-4

The widescale deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has serious implications for human rights and dignity. Popular AI models are plagued with pervasive biases, resulting in discrimination against individuals from marginalized groups such as women and people of color. As these technologies are increasingly used in surveillance and autonomous weapons, they pose additional risks to vulnerable segments of our society. There is an urgent imperative to ensure these powerful technologies are developed ethically and deployed responsibly to minimize harmful outcomes and maximize positive benefits for humanity.

On July 31 for our AI Expert Webinar, we have invited Shahla Naimi, Policy Director, AI & Human Rights at Salesforce to discuss how we can build technological safeguards to ensure protection of human rights in the AI age.

Register to join us for this and future Women in AI Ethics™(WAIE) webinars.
