AI for everyone or AI for the chosen few?🤔

There is a widely accepted narrative that we should leave technology to the technologists because “it’s all math and science.” As a result, most AI literacy resources are filled with technical jargon, designed for children, or dumbed down to the point of being useless for anything other than mindless consumption.

As I’ve shared previously, Women in AI Ethics™ has teamed up with public libraries to bring hype-free AI literacy programs to our communities. Now we’re taking it to the next level and partnering with the Brooklyn Public Library to bring Generative AI hackathons to everyone — ALL ages and ALL backgrounds. No technical skills required. You will learn all you need to know in one fun session and get to apply your new skills to uncover hidden biases and inaccuracies in these powerful systems.

So grab your sibling, mom, grandpa, or a friend and join us in Brooklyn, New York on Oct 21st. Respond in comments if you have questions and/or would like to bring this program to your community.
